A question that I often get asked is "What are the differences between the Sametime Connect Client and the integrated Sametime client in Notes?" Thankfully, IBM has a TechNote that addresses this question.

Are these features you cannot/shoud not use due to licensing or features that are completely turned off in the embedded client. I think it is the former.

Actually, Nelson, it is a combination of your comment. Some are totally unavailable and others are due to licensing. If you want it all (and who doesn't ), you need the Connect Client. And pay IBM for the licenses.
