Late last year, I reviewed Where Have All the Emails Gone? by David Gewirtz (it is an excellent book and an incredible inside look at e-mail in the White House).
Today, Google News fed me some interesting developments in this story. For example:
The Republican National Committee will not retrieve any email by restoring any backups that they may or may not have.
A former White House employee has said that there was a very high probability that data would be lost.
I thought that the book was "freaky" in the lackadaisical view that the White House (and this includes all of the recent inhabitants) held data integrity, but these news reports have taken it to a new level. You have to "follow the domains," as David puts it, to understand the gravity of the Republican National Committee's response to a House panel.
More information on David's research, updates, and links can be found on Where Have All the Emails Gone website.
I'm speechless.
