Julian and Bruce have provided us with another outstanding podcast. This time, they interview Bill Buchan, who, thankfully, didn't paint any pictures of what he may or may not be wearing. :-)
Technically, this was the best sounding podcast that they have done. Bill was clear, there weren't any delays (that I could tell), and the microphone/Skype volumes were excellent. Bruce and Julian do a very good job of enlisting some very interesting subjects and incorporating some excellent bits.
Bill is a great interview. He shares some of his "Bad Practices," which is a very nice overview to his upcoming Lotusphere session. The first? Be nice to the local Domino Administrator. Not very often that you hear that advice, as I am sure there are many Designers that didn't follow that rule and weren't happy with the outcome. The other ones? Listen. :-) I hope that others don't think that they are "advertising" the OpenNTF tools, but I really like that they weave a tool into the conversation (or that the interviewee uses a particular tool). There are so many good things on that site, that reminding me of them helps me to appreciate the breadth and depth of that site.
I agree with Bill, but I want to take it a step further. If Julian and Bruce are looking for content, I think that a show dedicated to the outtakes and conversations either before or after a podcast would make for some very entertaining listening. Taking Notes has become one of my favorite podcasts.
Oh, and I did learn a new phrase: "Application Lifestyle." The connotations of such a thing still makes me laugh.

Given that when I work at home, I rarely appear outside my dressing gown (Bath-robe) in Arthur Dent style, it was amazing that I'd actually got dressed that day...
Thank you for the kind words - us "actor" types do need some positive reinforcement now and again before we tread the boards again...
