Gregg Eldred, an information technology worker with NextStep Technologies in Avon Lake, said he has an iPad for work, but he ordered a Fire for personal use. He had considered an iPad, but he said he's not sure how much he'll actually use the tablet, so springing for the more expensive device didn't make much sense.
"I really like the feel of paper. I love books. I love carrying them around," Eldred said. "If the Kindle doesn't work out, that's fine. I'm only out $200."
Yes, there is "More."
The interesting thing is that the reporter found me through Twitter. On Monday, I was notified that Amazon had shipped my Fire and I tweeted that fact. Because I have my contact information on my Twitter profile, he was able to e-mail me, introduced himself, and asked a couple of questions. We traded a few e-mails and he invited me to call him, which I did. Then, there I was, in print and on-line. After he was done with his questions, we spent a few more minutes, off the record, chatting about various tech related items. That was, frankly, more fun than the interview because it had the feel of two friends just chatting about a variety of topics.

Hey! That's you. Nice job. But know that the reporter left out a key element to your story: how the Fire can quickly allow you to catchup on reading a book when on a Harley and stuck in traffic or sitting at the impossibly long light at 5th and Elm... But I digress.

I meant to write and tell you I had seen the article. Very cool, and interesting that the reporter reached out that way.

Very Nice, my wife was debating the same thing but she has become enslaved to the Apple. May you always be quoted and enjoy your celebrity status.
