Microsoft is seeking to get five million
Lotus Notes customers to make the switch to Microsoft's collaboration tools
in its fiscal 2009 year, according to Kevin Turner, COO for the software
giant.
“Let’s talk about replacing Lotus Notes,” said Turner during his presentation Wednesday at Microsoft’s annual meeting for financial analysts.
According to Turner, by primarily using Sharepoint, Microsoft has sold quite a few seats of their collaboration tools into IBM Lotus shops. He wants another 5 million seats sold into Lotus accounts in FY2009.
