Looking at the news surrounding the announcement of the forthcoming iPhone OS 3.0 release, it is nice to see that it will also feature Lotus Notes synchronization. This was announced at Lotusphere 2009 but the delivery date was not specified, only "sometime in 2009." Now we know that it will be available in June.
Leveraging ActiveSync will mean that your iPhone users will be able to natively synchronize their Lotus mail, contacts, and calendar on both the Macintosh and PC. Further, Apple will enable a landscape keyboard. option to ease typing. This is excellent news for your iPhone users. And it is great to see another product announced at Lotusphere come to fruition.
