Oliver Marks, contributor to ZDNet, has an excellent interview with David Allen shortly after the closing the GTD Summit last week. During the wide ranging, 25 minute interview, David Allen talks about collaboration and specifically Lotus Notes (around the 12:50 mark). Oliver's blog posting on the GTD Summit also makes mention of David's long time use of Lotus Notes:
Many people in the Lotus community have embraced David's GTD methodology. At Lotusphere 2009, Eric Mack and David had a very well attended session. And here, out in the wild, as it were, David continues to be an evangelist for Lotus Notes; showing that it is part of the foundation of GTD and to illustrate its power. I would imagine that as David travels the world, if he is engaged by an organization that uses Lotus Notes/Domino, IBM gets some amazing goodwill and the organization's management is shown how to further leverage their investment in Lotus Notes/Domino.

Email and getting your inbox to zero has long been a GTD staple - where I feel we are slaves to email, waiting to react and process an endless stream of communications, David suggests our lives are mostly around reaction anyway. A long time user of Lotus Notes and Domino databases, there are various email add ons available that help you filter and triage email.
Since Allen joined Twitter as @gtdguy two weeks ago he has been followed by north of ninety five thousand people and rising, which has proved quite a revelation to him.
