You may have wondered how some websites
get cute little icons in front of their URLs. For example, some look like
this:
The default icon for a Domino website icon is what you see next to my name. Nice, but you probably will want to change it.
That little icon is determined by favicon.ico, located in the Domino\Data\domino\html directory. You can use any 16x16 BMP file, rename it to "favicon.ico" (or, better, use an icon editor) and copy it into the Domino\Data\domino\html directory. It will display by any database accessed on that Domino Web server.
If you have a few web accessible databases, but want to change the icon for one (or more) and leave the default icon in place for other databases, you can accomplish this by adding a "LINK REF" line to the HTML Head Content section using the Designer Client. The general syntax is:
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="test.ico">
When you add it to the HTML Head Content section, you will need to add it as a string, and escape the special characters:
"<link rel=\"shortcut icon\" href=\"test.ico\">"
