It seems that RIM is actually becoming worse than Microsoft when it comes to meeting planned software release dates. What is this, release update 25 already?
Mid-April is eight full months into the release of ND8 and they *still* do not support it officially. For not their market share, they would be finished at this point. I hope that Good, et al are capitalizing on this golden opportunity for increase market share.

Ahh joy, another delay. I have a question for those that have upgraded to 8 already and have a bes. Did you leave your BES server at the lower domino version(6.5.6 for us) and upgrade the rest of the domino domain? If you did, how did this work for you?

RIM isn't winning any friends right now. Especially since the service pack has some features that will benefit not only the users, but admins as well.
Their competition, which includes the iPhone, are probably using this to sway new customers.

Let's be thankful it was held off, to make sure it was correct when released. I'd hate RIM to be run like Microsoft for software releases........ :) If some poor unfortunate user gets swayed over to IPhone or Good because of a software release delay, they really have to have their use/needs checked. Professionals use this software and product because of it's reputation..... It took how long for the IPhone to get cracked? And the Blackberry???? Quite the security question in just that..... Good licenses the technology from RIM, so that speaks volumes.
And besides, lets get real here, the IPhone as a business tool, now that's funny.
Cheers
