Can't say that I do remember them. I'm looking for some samples that I can listen to, to refresh my memory.
I did find this, however... American Noise - Take it All promo copy

Damn you! I am not going to get a thing done today because of you! I'm scouring the 'net looking for AN tracks. Did find one on one website. In the process, I found a lot of other bands that I had forgotten about... Donny Iris and the Cruisers, Alex Bevan, Artful Dodger, Breathless. Just saw a YouTube video of Artful Dodger doing a "Wayside" promo video at the Agora Ballroom. Awesomeness all around.

@Steve:
I am not done. This is what I referred to when I told you, at Jellyrolls, that you gave me a good idea for some blog posts. These bands are not well known outside of Cleveland, but there may be others that will get a kick out of them.
I might have to add the track lists to the posts.
You've made my day!

I'm listening to "Out On The Street" from American Noise. It sounds familiar. The track I am looking for is "American Noise". I can hear it in my head, but am not sure if it is the same song. I got the track (and a few others from www.Citi-Music.com.
Listening to Alex Bevan - "Skinny Little Boy" now... damn... I'm done for the day and it's not even 10:00 a.m.

Send me your email and I'll send you 10 MP3's of american noise. No problem for a fellow Clevelander.
The album is American Noise self title. The one with 4 guys on the cover. Has hey cinderella, American Noise, any one with a heart can tell.

I have a copy of the album too, but I have yet to convert it to digital. I need to convert a few albums actually. I'll get to it one of these days.
Lots of memories there...
I used to have some live tapes of them made right off my mixing console, but they were on cassette tape and got mangled over the years.

So would anybody be willing to share their mp3s of this? I'd like to let a couple people hear it that don't have turntables.

To say that I am surprised by the reaction to American Noise would be an understatement. I have to ask:
What is the attraction?
It would probably help if I took the time to convert the album to MP3 so that I relive the music. But I don't think that I have the time for that. Once I start with American Noise, I would want to convert Breathless, early MSB, and others.

In my case, I heard their songs played on MMS quite a bit, liked them, and then later worked for them for a time.
Hey, if you want to convert Breathless and early MSB, that would be interesting too. :)
Has anyone seen any recordings of the Danny Pechio Band? I worked for them a couple of times and liked them better than MSB.

Was looking for some place to post this. This seemed like a good place. I was on random play on my iPod when "Another Girl Like You" popped up. It was the intro to the WMMS Coffeebreak concert Jan 7 1983 with American Noise. Playlist for that show was:
Another Girl Like You
Step On Over The Edge
Kickin' Open The Door
I Got A Fix On You
One Step Ahead
Last Train To Paradise
Jailhouse Rock
Anyone With A Heart
Runnin' Through The Night
Statutory Sue
It was hosted by Matt the Cat from WMMS. I taped the show while I was in college at CWRU. I couldn't make it to the Agora for the show and wanted to hear them. I never did manage to see them Live. Have the album and the Statutory sue 45 though.
