My IBM Redbooks Pilot
My IBM® Redbooks® is a Web 2.0 mashup that remixes IBM Redbooks. It uses many of the most popular IBM Redbooks, enabling you to create customized books based on your interests and needs.
Chapters can be merged from any of the available IBM Redbooks, allowing you to create a personalized book for anything from an end-to-end solution consisting of various chapters from multiple IBM Redbooks to a book with only a few chapters of interest.

I went to the link, selected three Redbook titles (Lotus), and created a mashup of them by selecting the chapters that I wanted to use to upgrade, secure, and tune my Domino environment. Moments later, I had a 515 page (a little excessive) PDF of the Redbook. With this automatically created cover:
That was kind of cool.
You have to select entire chapters, which is fine, but leads to giant Redbooks. It also does not number the chapters in the new order nor provide you with an index (I would imagine that those two items would be very difficult to achieve). Overall, it was extremely easy to select the items of interest and IBM quickly generates your custom Redbook.
