You have probably heard that Sirius and XM are planning on merging (pending government approval), but I am very happy with one new channel that has been added to the Sirius lineup. These are the new channels:
Channel 24, Lithium, 90s Alternative, "the best Grunge and '90s Alternative Rock Music"
Channel 75, Siriusly Sinatra, "Radio Frank Sinatra's way"
Channel 106, The Foxxhole, "Urban comedy, entertainment, and lifestyle from Jamie Foxx"
I have been listening a lot to Channel 24. :-)
And if the merger does go through, I am really looking forward to Major League Baseball. That is the only thing that XM has that I want.

I'm excited about this announcement. MLB is cool and I can always use more Rock choices. I'd like to see more live material from concert recordings. The evening news made a comment that this merger could take up to 3 years. I hope that's not true.

@Curt - I was sort of thinking about the merger today and am hoping that they don't reduce the number of music channels available. If each have an Octane like channel, they might only keep one. I am with you, I could always use more.
I do like the times that they have the artists spinning the music, providing anecdotes, and their influences. That's something that you would never hear on terrestrial radio.

@Gregg,
I'm hoping too. Bigger is better.
On a sad note, I broke my antenna cable yesterday in my car. I wore it out close to where it connects to my receiver. I never had it mounted and by picking it up and down for 2 years, it broke. I'll have to install a new antenna.
