Imagine the surprise when leafing through the latest print edition of eWeek and coming across a picture of Bruce Elgort. While the on-line version doesn't have his picture, you can read about RSS in the enterprise and Bruce's contribution to that article.
I am a big fan of RSS, and will really miss Mac Guidera's session at Lotusphere. But the article in eWeek does a really nice job of explaining the benefits (and some caveats) of RSS for corporate developers/users. In particular, Bruce points out:
"It's a great technology, but a lot of people underestimate the amount of bandwidth it needs," said Bruce Elgort, co-founder of OpenNTF.org, an open-source community for IBM's Lotus Notes and Domino developers, in Vancover, Wash. That could be a problem for companies that serve up content to the public.
If you are one of the old school readers, and have your print copy, you will be treated to a picture of Bruce at Lotusphere 2006.
Well done, Bruce!
