I don't know about you, but today I have received five messages from this sender. Five!
Wouldn't this be considered "excessive?"
UPDATE: Christopher sent me a link to one of his blog entries, here, which tells his little run-in with DominoFiles.com. I took his advice and sent an e-mail to the sales department and to the President of the MetaLogic expressing my displeasure with the number of e-mails I was receiving as well as my belief that I was being spammed. Minutes later, I had a response from Bruce Grant, President, at MetaLogic. A snippet from his e-mail:
Thank you for your feedback. Rest assured that we take all concerns regarding Dominofiles seriously.
I was extremely impressed. In fact, it didn't take long from someone from DominoFiles.com to contact me. It looks like I have been removed from all of their lists (he did tell me that my address was in their system twice). Also, he wanted copies of the mail messages, but unfortunately I had deleted them last night and emptied the Trash.
I just want to make it clear that MetaLogic, while using DominoFiles, has no control over the number of messages that DominoFiles sends out on their behalf. I also want to make you aware of the exceptional attention I received from MetaLogic when I contacted them about this issue. They took my concerns seriously and addressed them immediately. And I am not a customer nor have I ever bought anything from them. But I will tell you this, if they treat a person like me with this kind of service, imagine what they will do for someone with a budget. :-)
The thing that I learned during this exercise is that DominoFiles.com seems to only respond when you contact their customer directly. I don't think that would qualify as "good list maintenance." And it has to give their customers fits.
