Lotus/IBM has announced a new "residency" for their Redbooks - a wiki. Leveraging Web 2.0, IBM has a couple of pages already available in the wiki:
IBM Director Best Practices
PHP Zend for i5/OS
They are adding a new wiki, to contribute to the update of the Lotus Notes Smart Upgrade Redbook. From the description of the project:
This pilot is an experiment to determine if Wikis are indeed a suitable tool to create and to deliver technical content of the caliber of Redbooks, but at the same time, making it easier to collaborate with a team that is located around the world. The realtime nature of the Wiki means that reviewers and editors are also an integral part of the team.
Very nice application of wikis, and I expect that this will result in a much better Redbook. Since this is a wiki, they are very aware that they can get many more "residents" involved in this project than with a traditional Redbook residency.
