I like all of the blogging going on at Lotusphere. Although you can tell how busy people are by the lack of any relatively recent stuff. I can understand that.
The Register (I love their attitude) apparently sent a correspondent to Orlando, and he has posted his thoughts on the conference. The article starts with:
"Confidence is brimming at this year's Lotusphere conference, with a belief that the IBM Lotus collaboration products are bouncing back against Microsoft."
The author, Eric Doyle, provides a very good overview of all of the new announcements, including one that I haven't heard mentioned - the possibility of a Skype/Sametime integration. Other items have been discussed elsewhere, but Eric seems to be more "reserved" than the others. Funny, since it is, after all, The Reg.
He does seem quite upbeat on the message that he got at 'Sphere, ending his article with:
"Lotus still has to prove that it can stand against Microsoft in the long term, but Lotusphere did offer a glimpse of the power its new range of collaborative software is preparing to unleash."
